If your books are behind, I’ll bring them up to date. Otherwise, I’ll get to work bookkeeping for one month. We’ll finish this phase with a detailed Loom video to get you comfy with all your reports and talk through your numbers.

I work with service-based small businesses, usually in creative fields, though that’s not technically required! If you’re passionate about your work, if you’re building a sustainable business around your talents and your lifestyle, if you’re done with financial stress – you’re in the right place!

Are you a CPA? +

Nope! Accounting and bookkeeping are very different. As a bookkeeper, it's my job to advise you and organize your finances all year. A CPA’s job is to file your taxes during tax season, and they need clean books to do that. In fact, if you go to a CPA with a year’s worth of messy books, you’re putting them in a time crunch. They might charge you a LOT to clean up your books – or they might not offer that option at all!

I don’t have QuickBooks or Xero, is that OK? +

I do require my monthly bookkeeping clients to use either QuickBooks Online or Xero as their bookkeeping software, and if you don’t have either yet, I’ll help you get set up! You won’t regret the switch – QB is the best in the business for double-entry bookkeeping (meaning it has clever calculations built in to double-check for mistakes) and it’ll grow with your business so you won’t need to switch later.

How do you get my financial details every month? +

When we start working together, you’ll add me to your QuickBooks or Xero file as an accountant and give me view-only access to your financial accounts – don’t worry, it’s standard practice and I’m super discreet! Occasionally, I’ll pop in to ask a question like “what did you just spend $300 on from Amazon?” but apart from that, you just get to chill!

Every month, you'll receive a complete financial package that gives you total clarity on how your business is performing. You'll see your profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and an executive summary that breaks it all down in a way that actually makes sense.
